List of Art Scholarships for International Students 2021/2022

1. Case Western Reserve University Theater Scholarship 

 

Western offers four full-tuition scholarships, as well as two $10,000 scholarships, for students who wish to major/minor in theater or pursue theater as an extracurricular. However, All students must complete an audition or present a portfolio of their work.

 Also note that the deadline for this art scholarship is January 15, 2022, for the application packet; February 1, 2022, for digital portfolio presentations and interviews; February 18, 2022, for in-person portfolio presentations and interviews. 2. Florence Lemcke scholarship in Fine arts

 

This fine arts scholarship is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Washington. Also, it is specifically for graduating high school seniors in Washington State who are also a child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of a veteran.

Moreso, applicants must plan to pursue a degree in fine arts, such as painting, drawing, photography, literature, architecture, sculpture, poetry, music, dance, or drama. Also, note that the deadline is early March 2022. The award amount is $1,000

 

3. Bodie McDowell Scholarship

 

This art scholarship is available to students who are working (or plan to work in) in outdoor communications. Amazingly, it includes print, photography, film, art, and/or broadcasting.

Eligible students must submit examples of work and letters of recommendation. However, academic achievement is considered but isn’t a major deciding factor. Also, note that the deadline is early March 2022. The award is between $1,000 and $5,000. 

 

4. NPG’s Poster Scholarship

 

Negative Population Growth gives a prompt every year and asks students to submit a poster that’s been designed by hand or digitally (there are separate awards for each category). It’s one of the best art Scholarships.

5. AIAS Foundation Scholarship Fund

 

This art scholarship is for students of any major who intend to pursue a career in the development of interactive entertainment; such as animation, programming, and game design. Moreover, applicants must be at least sophomores in college and have a minimum 3.3 GPA. Also, note that the deadline is late May 2022. The award is $2,500

6. The John Lennon Scholarship Scholarship

 

Scholarships are awarded to student songwriters and composers who work in contemporary music genres like alternative, pop, rock, indie, electronica, R&B, and experimental. It is one of the best art Scholarships.

In order to qualify, students must be between the ages of 17 and 24, a current college student or alumnus of a U.S. university, and have not worked previously with a major record label.  Moreover, applicants must submit an original song win in order to apply. Also, the deadline is spring 2022. The award is $20,000

 

7. ASID Foundation Legacy Scholarship

 

This art scholarship is open to interior design students in their junior or senior year of college. To apply, students must submit a portfolio with 8-12 work examples, a personal statement, a letter of recommendation, a portfolio statement, a transcript, and a headshot.

However, Scholarships are awarded based on the combination of applicants’ academic accomplishments, creative achievements, and personal statements. Also, note that the deadline is spring 2022. The award is $4,000.
