Eligibility;
- Applicant must have completed a master’s degree or diploma or in extreme cases should have a bachelor’s degree at the latest date in order to apply.
- As a rule, applicants should not have graduated any longer than six years before the application deadline. If you are already working on a doctoral degree, you should not have started your degree any longer than three years previously.
- Applicants who have been resident in Germany for longer than 15 months at the application deadline cannot be considered.

Who is Eligible for DAAD Scholarship?
The minimum requirement to apply for a DAAD scholarship normally is an IELTS (band 6) certificate or TOEFL (minimum score 550 paper-based, 213 computer-based, and 80 internet-based). German: For those courses taught in German, a DSH 2 or Test DaF 4 certificate is necessary for matriculation.

How Much is the DAAD Research Grant for Ph.D. 2022 Award?
DAAD scholarships do not have to be paid back. They usually consist of a monthly scholarship payment (currently, for example, € 861 for graduates and € 1,200 for doctoral/Ph.D. students) and a flat-rate travel allowance. In many cases, DAAD also provides you with health, accident, and personal liability insurance.
