Kazakhstan postgraduate scholarship at the University of Nottingham UK 2022 – the University of Nottingham is now offering Kazakhstan postgraduate scholarships to high achieving students.
Bolashaq is Kazakhstan’s international scholarship programme, founded in 1993. The Bolashaq programme provides fully-funded scholarships for high-achieving students from Kazakhstan to study masters or Ph.D. courses at selected universities in other countries before returning to work in Kazakhstan.
About University of Nottingham University
The University of Nottingham has welcomed many Bolashaq scholars and is approved by the Bolashaq programme as a study destination for Bolashaq scholars until at least 2023, due to our position in International university rankings and our range of eligible degree courses in priority areas of study.
Eligibility for Kazakhstan postgraduate scholarship
- Eligible Countries: Kazakhstan
- Acceptable Course or Subjects: Postgraduate Degree program in any subject offered by the university
- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
- Are classed as an international (non-UK or EU) student for fee purposes AND
- Hold, or are predicted to achieve, the UK equivalent of a high 2:1 in undergraduate studies – these students will be considered for a 50% scholarship until we reach our funding limit
- Hold, or are predicted to achieve, the equivalent of a first-class degree – these students will be considered for funding for Excellence which will provide either a 75% or 100% scholarship until we reach our funding limit
How to Apply for Kazakhstan postgraduate scholarship
- How to Apply: In order to apply for the grant, applicants must take admission to a postgraduate degree at the university. Thereafter, they should apply through the online portal for this opportunity.
- Supporting Documents: Transcripts, letter of recommendation, qualification certificates, an essay (if required), and English certification.
- Admission Requirements: When you come to study at Nottingham, applicants need to check the entry requirements of the university.
- Language Requirement: If you are an international student, you should also check the information about the English language requirements.

- Bachelor Degree Programs: certificate or diploma of basic secondary education with a grade of no less than “good”.
