Navajo Nation Scholarship 2022 – Why worry yourself concerning the education fee? Navajo Nation health education program scholarship offers a wide range of support to succeed in higher education.
Brown and Caldwell Navajo Nation Scholarship is designed to encourage and support students who are enrolled members of the Navajo Nations that have a desire to improve our world by developing their skills and knowledge in preparation for a career in the environmental profession.
The Scholarship Provides
- $1,000 for up to four years of schooling (for a total of $4,000).
- The scholarship will be distributed annually as long as the eligibility criteria continue to be met.
- A laptop computer or tablet (awarded the first year only).
Navajo Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Candidates for the Brown and Caldwell Navajo Nation Scholarship program must be:
- A United States citizen or permanent resident.
- A full-time student enrolled at an accredited two-year junior or four-year undergraduate college, or a senior in high school with a letter of acceptance from the college or university to be attended.
- Have or intend to declare a major in civil, chemical, mechanical, electrical, or environmental engineering or one of the environmental sciences (e.g. geology, hydrogeology, ecology).
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent on a 5.0 scale).
- An enrolled member of the Navajo Nation.
Navajo Nation Scholarship Required Documents
All candidates must submit with a completed application:
- An essay of 500 words or less, “My role in creating a sustainable world”.
- Two written recommendations, with at least one from a high school or university official (e.g. advisor, professor).
- The high school counselor or university academic advisor’s name, phone number, and email address.
- An official transcript of your academic record.
- A resume (including previous work experience).
- Evidence of a declared major.
Returning Navajo Nations Scholarship Recipients Criteria
- Have been awarded the Navajo Nations Scholarship under the initial eligibility requirements.
- Completed a full year of schooling (2 semesters or 3 quarters) as an award recipient during the year immediately preceding a request for Continuing Eligibility.
- Have a declared major in civil, chemical, or environmental engineering, or one of the environmental sciences (e.g. geology, hydrogeology, biology, ecology, industrial hygiene toxicology).
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent on a 5.0 scale).

What Is a Scholarship Granted By The Navajo Nation?
The Navajo Nations Scholarship is a program issued by the Office of Navajo Nation Scholarship Financial Assistance (ONSFA). Eligible students can enroll in the program and financial aid to help achieve their educational goals.
